We ended up keeping our Tockify calendar because the TownNews calendar is a bear for readers to use and requires registration. We also don't want to get stuck inputting events for them.

You can embed Tockify on any page or in individual articles. We use it for community events for free but sell spots to real estate agents and brokers on our Open House Calendar version.

We had taken advantage of the alt-tag field in our old WordPress system primarily as an SEO tool rule. Now, apparently, there might legal reasons to do it. I'm assuming captions are visible to accessibility checkers, right?

On a related topic ... Is there a way in Blox to apply alt tags to photo assets? I see you can add a caption but could not find an alt tag field.

By the way, did anyone see the stories about how many businesses are being hit with ADA lawsuits because their websites are not accessible to the blind? This includes New York art galleries:

Looking forward to the site branding panel so our emails can have our branding as well as font sizes, colors and styles that are consistent across our newsletters. Thanks for listening

I have raised the same issue as we prepare to migrate to TownNews. I've had to come up with a makeshift solution (not as refined as yours) that would add at least a logo to send in a breaking news alert via the single-run option instead of automatic alerts.  It basically means copying and pasting some html with the logo, links and a summary of the breaking news.  It's not that involved but  every additional step becomes a big deal when you are trying to respond to breaking news.

I only to go the trouble because I worry that readers may wonder if they are receiving spam or if we have been hacked if they receive an email from us without our branding.  As many of you know, email is regarded as a key tool in connecting directly to our readers without relying on Facebook or other social media. That makes our email presentation even more important. By the way ... your other email options work great and offer so many options. Look forward to taking advantage of them.

Thanks. I was thinking this would work in some cases. We use forms to collect information for sponsored articles and content.  But I was hoping that a form would collect the same information and payment at the same time.

Still, a post-by-email could work for some customers and some freelancers who are going to freeze up once they see the TownNews dashboard. ; - )

Yes, we would love to have this feature. We are migrating from WordPress to TownNews and use a plug-in called Gravity Forms. It does a great job converting submissions through a public or password-protected form that automatically creates a post or article -- you can set it to publish automatically or hold for review. I must say it's probably the plug-in I will most migrating to TownNews.

Anyway a TownNews form like Letters to be the Editor be made available to readers without them having become a registered user? The submissions could also be set to "not publish" until review.
