At that point where the edition has already been push from Total CMS to the website, it would be on the segments tab on a particular page of the eedition. To deal with it for the future, page builders would have to be aware of the ordering implications with overlapping segments and build them accordingly.

Hi All,

These clickable regions or segments layer themselves on the page depending on the order of the segments in the system. If there are two overlapping segments, their order determines which segment is on top.

This generally happens when pages are being built in Total CMS/inDesign. It can be addressed immediately by slightly altering how pages are built in inDesign. If the smaller ad is placed on the page prior to the article that wraps around it you get that area the larger segment overlaps the smaller one.

We are aware of this issue and have road-mapped changes in e-Edition software to always place the smaller segment on top in this situation.

Until then sites Using live e-Edition and Total CMS to build their pages are advised that when there are overlapping regions on the page to place the smaller one last. This will eliminate the problem short term. If that is not possible the order of the segments can be changed in the BLOX e-Edition admin so that the smaller one is after the larger one.

Hi Nick,

We do not store Credit Card information in our system as part of our PCI Compliance strategy. Rather we only refer to a recurring transaction with the payment handler. This does allow us however to offer the user the chance to change their credit card info as part of the renewal process.

In the BLOX user dashboard there is a "manage my services" link from which the user will see a renew my account option if they are near or past account expiration. The user is offered the chance to change their credit card info as part of that process. Please contact our Customer service folks at 800-293-9576 if you have any further questions and they would be happy to walk you through it.

Hi Doug,

The AAM tracking feature is included with our Subscription Pro Product. Please submit a ticket to our Customer support team and they can point you in the right direction, whether it be turning on the AAM tracking or directing your client to the appropriate sales representative.
Hi Doug,
We do have a new feature that logs logged in user activity for the purpose of providing raw log data to AAM for their auditing pruposes. From what you are saying this may serve your purposes. Here is the link to the document describing it.

Kevin,

Most FTP clients have scheduling for automating file transfers so you will not have to manually do this. There are an abundance of low cost FTP Clients available that make it easy automate file transfer between FTP and desktop or FTP to FTP. I am sure if you ask the folks in your IT department they will be able to set you up.
Hi Kevin,

These daily logs are not necessarily something that would be useful to read via email. They are the raw logs that AAM will use to confirm the circulation numbers that you report to them. Most users will arrange for these files to be automatically off loaded to their own servers so that they will be available when AAM requests them at audit time.

If you don't have FTP access to this folder please call our Customer Services staff (800-293-9576) and they will be happy to get an FTP account set up for you.
Yes, it works within the metering workflow When an article is behind the payall for example, We would first ask Google for a survey. If the survey is served, the user does the survey and gets to read the article. We do still count this as an article viewed with respect to the meter. If Google does not serve a survey, it falls back to normal metering for that article view. If google does not serve a survey after the user has used their allotted free views, they will be presented with the paywall.
Good news Christian! We are able to do this with our new FLEX template platform. The encryption model employed in the Zen platform prevented us from doing it previously.
