Reflow "feature" is wrecking our pages

Evan Jones 5 days ago in BLOX Total CMS 0

We have an ongoing problem with the reflow feature while on deadline. Our editor is using InCopy to edit stories that are attached to the pages, but if I add any components to a story package that Blox didn't originally put onto the page (i.e. a new photo with a caption), the Reflow dialog will pop up and it will it will wipe out the caption and insert the story's text instead. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? We've learned that sometimes we just have to release the assets rather than allow this to happen.

Best iptv 6 days ago in BLOX CMS 0

With the rising cost of cable TV and the increasing demand for customizable, high-quality streaming services, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) has emerged as one of the best alternatives. Whether you're looking to cut the cord or just explore more options, IPTV offers a flexible solution with an array of channels, on-demand content, and superior streaming quality.

In this article, we’ll explore everything you need to know about the best IPTV services available today. From features and benefits to a guide on how to choose the right service for your needs, we’ve got you covered.

What is IPTV?

IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television, which means that instead of using traditional satellite or cable systems, IPTV delivers television programming through an internet connection. The beauty of IPTV is that it offers a wide array of channels, movies, and shows, all accessible from a wide variety of devices, including smart TVs, mobile devices, laptops, and more.

There are three main types of IPTV services:

  • Live TV Streaming: Real-time broadcasts of TV channels.

  • Video On Demand (VOD): Streaming of movies, series, and other content available to watch at any time.

  • Time-Shifted Media: The ability to pause, rewind, or fast-forward live TV broadcasts.

Why Choose IPTV?

There are several reasons why IPTV has become one of the most preferred streaming options. Here are a few:

  1. Wide Selection of Content: IPTV services typically offer an extensive catalog of live TV channels, movies, and on-demand series. Whether you're into sports, international programming, or niche genres, IPTV providers tend to cover all bases.

  2. Flexible Streaming: You can watch IPTV on multiple devices, whether it's your smartphone, smart TV, laptop, or desktop. This flexibility makes it an attractive option for people who want entertainment wherever they are.

  3. Affordable Pricing: Unlike traditional cable TV, IPTV providers often have competitive pricing models that suit different budgets. You can get access to premium content at a fraction of the cost of cable subscriptions.

  4. High-Quality Streaming: Most IPTV services offer HD or even 4K streaming, ensuring that you get the best possible viewing experience. Some services also come with advanced features like Dolby Vision and HDR.

Top IPTV Services for 2025

Now, let's take a look at some of the best IPTV providers that you should consider in 2025.

1. Sling TV

Sling TV is a great option for those who want a balance between cost and content. Offering multiple packages with hundreds of channels, Sling TV allows you to customize your package based on your preferences. They also support DVR, on-demand content, and streaming across multiple devices.

2. YouTube TV

With YouTube TV, you get access to over 85 channels, including premium options like HBO, Showtime, and NFL RedZone. It's a bit pricier than some alternatives, but it offers an excellent streaming experience, superb interface, and a robust DVR.

3. Hulu + Live TV

Hulu's live TV service brings together both live programming and Hulu’s massive library of on-demand content. With more than 65 channels to choose from and access to Hulu's extensive movie and TV show library, it's an excellent choice for families and entertainment enthusiasts.

4. IPTV Subscription Services

These are third-party IPTV providers that offer a range of live channels, international content, and on-demand programming. They are often much cheaper than cable providers and offer a wide variety of content from multiple countries. You can explore these services, but always do your research to ensure they are legitimate and reliable.

5. FuboTV

FuboTV is known for its sports coverage, offering a wide selection of channels for sports fans. It also provides a robust on-demand library and works across various devices, making it ideal for sports enthusiasts.

How to Choose the Best IPTV Service

With so many IPTV services available, how do you choose the right one? Here are a few factors to consider when selecting the best IPTV service for your needs:

  1. Content Variety: Make sure the service offers the types of channels and content you want to watch. If you're into sports, you’ll want to go for a service that has premium sports channels.

  2. Pricing and Packages: Compare the prices of different IPTV services and choose the one that fits your budget. Also, check for hidden fees, such as extra charges for DVR or premium content.

  3. Streaming Quality: Look for services that provide HD or 4K streaming for the best viewing experience. Some services may offer a higher-quality video stream, while others may have buffering issues depending on your internet connection.

  4. Device Compatibility: Ensure the IPTV service works on all the devices you plan to use. Whether you're using a smart TV, tablet, or phone, compatibility should be a top priority.

  5. Customer Support: Customer service is essential for troubleshooting and resolving any issues. Look for services with excellent support, including 24/7 availability via phone or chat.

Community Discussion: What Makes the Best IPTV?

Now, let’s take a look at what community members say about their experiences with IPTV services. The opinions of real users can help you determine which service is truly the best.

  • "Sling TV is a life-saver!" – “I've been using Sling TV for months now, and it’s fantastic! It has all the channels I need, and the quality is great. Plus, it’s so much cheaper than my old cable bill.”

  • "YouTube TV is worth every penny." – “I love how easy it is to navigate the interface on YouTube TV. The DVR is amazing, and having all my favorite channels in one place is a game-changer.”

  • "FuboTV for sports fans" – “If you love sports, FuboTV is the way to go. They have all the major sports channels and fantastic international coverage. I can watch my favorite leagues and sports teams without a problem.”

Conclusion

Choosing the best IPTV service ultimately depends on your personal preferences. Do you want a massive selection of content? Are you into sports or international programming? How important is price to you? All of these factors will shape your decision.

As the world of streaming continues to evolve, IPTV services will continue to play a pivotal role in how we consume television. Explore the options available to you and take your viewing experience to the next level with IPTV.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re looking to save money or find a more convenient way to stream your favorite channels, IPTV is a solid option for anyone looking to cut the cord. Keep in mind that while there are many providers out there, not all of them are created equal. Make sure to do your research, read reviews, and, if possible, test out a few different services to see which one is best for you.

Auto-Tag Keywords needs a setting to set number of keywords to add.

Jeff Sebestyen 4 weeks ago in BLOX CMS 0

While this setting seems kinda neat, I have seen it add up to 30 keywords to articles, I think a setting would be appropriate and easy to add.

AI chatbot for readers

Columbia Missourian 4 months ago in BLOX CMS updated by Joe Hansen (Product manager) 4 months ago 1

Has anyone integrated a chatbot on the front end for readers that searches your your content and responds to questions? Or is something like that on the roadmap for Blox?

There is interest in creating one, but I'm not sure how the integration would work and I thought I would see if someone else has something like this so we aren't recreating the wheel.

Answer

At this point we are investing our approach to better search. We're concerned about just general search as you can see on Washington Post, which returns old content as well as new content. Additionally, AI doesn't have a good grasp on local information, like "give me stories about the mayor" doesn't have context. It's something we're actively talking about. We also want to make sure it doesn't impact page views, we want people to actually read the articles, not simply get an AI summary. Stay tuned as we roll out solutions in our NXT platform.

Requesting more options for Segmented E-Edition for Mobile.

Jeff Sebestyen 4 months ago in BLOX CMS 0
We have recently integrated Segmented E-Edition, and I am bombarded with customer calls asking to turn it off.  I would like Mobile users to get an option to turn off the Red Indicators, and switch to Replica View.
I would also like for there to be an option in the user's Dashboard to make the original Replica View default.

where can I update our twitter link, it seems to have gotten broken

teixeira 10 months ago in BLOX CMS updated by Joe Hansen (Product manager) 10 months ago 1
Answer

Social account connections can be updated from the Notifier application (blox menu -> Community -> Notifier), then open the settings panel (gear icon in upper right to the right of your "signed in as").

Look for the "Social accounts" panel. Remove the existing connection, then re-add the new one. You'll need to be able to log into your X account in the same browser with the account you want to connect.

Batch exporting photos?

arhoad@lnpnews com 1 year ago in BLOX CMS updated by Evan Jones 10 months ago 1

Hello, is there a way to select and batch export photos other than a bmp file. When I try to open this file in Photoshop, I get "Could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document." It also won't open in Microsoft Paint. It is incredibly difficult to get photos out of Blox. Is there another option that doesn't include opening each asset, viewing high-res and right-clicking to save?

Thanks
